Vinny, who is completing the Social Service Community Worker program at NBCC, completed his first placement with us and enjoyed his time so much that he requested to come back! Vinny will continue to be instrumental in supporting New Tide in its Building Safer Communities Project by working with staff and clients in the new Youth and Family Empowerment Programs.

Vinicius (Vinny) was born in Brazil and moved to New Brunswick in 2023 to advance his professional skills. Vinny Holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with his enrolment in the Social Service Community Worker program at NBCC. He is passionate about psychology and human behavior and enjoys video games, chess, and reading in his free time. Vinny has worked in psychology clinics back in Brazil and has also done placement with a harm reduction project. He is excited to learn more with New Tide and expand his knowledge for his front-line work.
