Jeremy Varner

Jeremy is New Tide Counselling & Consulting’s Director of Clinical Services. Growing up in both Moncton and Parrsboro (Nova Scotia), Jeremy relocated to Bathurst in August 2023, from Yellowknife, NT.

Jeremy enjoys reading, watching hockey (Go Leaf’s), and spending time with his son. Jeremy has been in the helping profession for over 15 years working in a variety of front-line roles including child protection and family support, case management and housing, and criminal justice. More recently, Jeremy has worked as a Counselling Therapist and Outreach Therapist with Atlantic Wellness in Moncton, as the Regional Clinical Supervisor for the Child and Youth Counselling Program in Yellowknife, and taught in the Human Services Practitioner program at NBCC Miramichi. Jeremy has a Bachelor of Arts (Criminology & Psychology) from St. Thomas University, a Family and Community Services diploma from Oulton College, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

Jeremy provides services in-person or online and can help with substance dependence, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress, self-esteem, and relationship concerns. Jeremy works with youth 12 and up, adults, couples, and families. Jeremy provides services for clients of all genders and has a passion for supporting men in their mental health journeys, and males who have experienced trauma and abuse.
