Victoria Coy

New Tide’s Administrative Assistant, Victoria, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Brunswick and is currently completing a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Her academic background, coupled with a genuine passion for understanding and supporting individuals has fuelled her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those seeking guidance.

She recently furthered her knowledge in mindfulness and care through a specialized study in Buddhist Mindfulness and Care in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Beyond her professional pursuits, Victoria is a devoted wife and a proud mother of three. This role has not only strengthened her understanding of the dynamics within relationships and families but has also deepened her empathy and patience in supporting others through life's challenges.

Her diverse experiences extend beyond borders where she spent three enriching months in Ghana, dedicating her time to teaching and editing English textbooks. This immersion in a different cultural context enhanced her appreciation for the complexities of human experiences and the importance of effective communication.

Outside the counselling realm, Victoria finds joy and inspiration in various activities. Photography and travel allow her to capture the beauty of the world, while her enthusiasm for health and wellness, yoga, and meditation reflects her commitment to a balanced and mindful lifestyle. She enjoys reading, puzzles, and painting on her down time, and her appreciation for the finer things in life includes a love for good wine, good food, and good company. This appreciation extends to her professional approach, where Victoria believes in creating a supportive and nourishing environment for individuals seeking guidance.

Victoria is excited to bring her unique blend of education, experience, and personal interests to the New Tide clinic, where she is dedicated to fostering a space of understanding, growth, and empowerment for those on their journey to wellness.
