Emily Tardif
Emily has years of experience helping people of various ages, physical abilities, mental abilities, and religious/spiritual background through her work as an Individual and Family Support Worker, volunteering with after school programs, and therapeutic practice. Emily focuses on providing empathic, non-judgmental, and safe spaces for her clients to come as they are to process their life situations and reach a sense of peace and security.
Emily uses a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Narrative Therapy amongst others to ensure that her clients feel safe and understood. Her therapeutic experience focuses on anxiety, depression, grief (relationships, friendships, pets, work, health), relationship issues, self-esteem/self-worth, trauma, and existential issues. Emily can provide Christian counselling as requested, though she will happily integrate whichever spirituality/religion her clients believe in. Emily can work with clients ages 10 and up.
Emily recently graduated with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, having also completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Theology. When she isn’t working, Emily enjoys reading, watching shows or movies, spending time with family and friends, playing relaxing video games, and camping/exploring the Maritimes.
