Meghan Hobbs

Meghan is a Certified Canadian Counsellor through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Meghan has spent her entire life living and working in the north, calling Yellowknife her home. Meghan has mixed settler and Whitecap Dakota First Nation ancestry and is on a journey to reclaim her family identity and language. When she is not working, Meghan enjoys spending her time with her many animals and partner while taking on new crafting ideas such as traditional beaded art, pottery, and sewing.

Meghan takes a person-centered approach to working with people – trusting that they are the expert in themselves, and she is there to provide support and a compassionate ear along the way to meet their goals. Meghan has experience working with 2SLGBTQA+ individuals, Indigenous individuals and those with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, and self-esteem concerns.

Meghan has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Vancouver Island University and a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
